I have bought almost every guitar instructional series on the market this is the best there is. Bill Edwards has developed the most logical, and comprhensive method for learning guitar that there is. It starts with simple framework and then it builds. Everything is linked together so that the student learns quickly. He also puts the student first. Once you start learning from him you can tell that he has thought of whats best for the student. No excess fat. Of course I got this new dvd too. It may say begginer, but its so much more. Amazing piece of material...enough said.

Product Description:
More than just an upgrade, this DVD represents a complete overhaul of the original Fretboard Logic Video I from concept to final cut. It contains more than ten times the content, including nine separate menus and six study pieces, featuring combinations of lead, rhythm, instrumentals and chord-melody guitar arrangements. Stylistically they include three different types of rock plus blues, classical and metal. All the study pieces start out with a stated goal and preparatory exercises, and end up with a detailed analysis on a phrase by phrase, section by section, basis. Each piece gets demonstrated using a unique split screen format showing extreme closeups of both the right and left hands so nothing gets missed. There are over 100 pages of transcriptions with Tab, Notation and Charts available for viewing via the internet or in book form, separately. The video starts out with "teasers" or samples of the study pieces to get your attention, and then goes through a full demonstration of the entire contents of Volume I, emphasizing the differences between what are termed the "constants" and the "variables" in the learning equation. Each study piece is then represented by a separate menu page, which has eye-catching graphics, icons and buttons for navigating from section to section. Each demo also features an onscreen "loop" button which allows for jam practice and experimentation. The backup music is separated from the rhythm guitar and lead guitar parts by channel, which allows each player to control the left-right audio balance between the guitar parts and the backup band via their remote. This one video actually has enough structure and material to take beginning guitar players to the next level. It accomplished this by starting with strong fretboard foundations, and then progresses to applications in several styles, using various techniques and guitar types. A stock beginner will be satisfied, if not thrilled, because they won't be forced to endure kiddie songs which are boring to learn and embarrassing to play for friends and family. Instead, each study piece in Fretboard Logic I starts from a bare bones, easy-play framework, and adds on various elements step-by-step each time it repeats, so that by the end of it, they are playing something that can actually be performed before an audience with a reasonable expectation of success. Whether you want to play the rhythm or the lead, this DVD provides excellent background music for you to play along to. For serious students of music, perhaps the best part is that everything gets explained - every step of the way. No more of the "monkey-see, monkey-do" or "put-this-finger-here, put-that-finger-there" kinds of teaching which is so common in ordinary guitar instructional videos. The Fretboard Logic books are world famous for not requiring rote memorization or guesswork in the the learning equation, and "Interactive Guitar Lessons On DVD" is no exception. It tackles issues relating to both guitar and music on multiple levels, so you are left with a lasting learning experience after each section. The twin bookends of learning to play guitar - Analysis & Creativity - are represented with equal attention and respect. The video starts with an attention-getting preview of a few parts of Video I, and ends over 4 hours later with exciting previews of Videos II and III, which will be the intermediate and advanced levels of the series. Even if a guitarist already has the earlier versions of the VHS tapes or DVDs, they owe it to themselves to get this massive upgrade. Finally, the videos are as good as the books. Maybe better... You decide.
